L’objectif de l’étude est de déterminer comment le graphisme pourrait favoriser l’interêt et l’engagement politique aux yeux d’un public néophyte et non-intéressé par la sphère politique dans une société où l’engagement électoral décroit. Trois axes sont ici étudiés : l’activisme et la dénonciation au travers d’une nouvelle approche graphique née au cœur des mouvements contestataires au milieu du XXe siècle, l’apprentissage et la pédagogie, modifiant la perception du spectateur par l’élaboration de supports innovants facilitant la compréhension de la politique, et enfin l’adhésion et l’engagement au-delà des normes imposées permettant une reconsidération totale de la politique par le graphisme.
The aim of this study is to determine how graphic design could foster interest and political commitment of a neophyte public not really interested about the political sphere, in a society where electoral participation is decreasing. Three axes are studied here: activism and denunciation through a new graphic approach born in the heart of the protest movements in the middle of the 20th century, learning and pedagogy, modifying the viewer’s perception through the elaboration of innovative supports facilitating the understanding of politics, and finally adhesion and commitment beyond the imposed norms allowing a total reconsideration of politics through graphic design.
